I started out as a wedding and portrait photographer 13 years ago. I was blessed with my first daughter Annabelle 4.5 years ago and knew I needed to change how I was doing business so I could be home with her more. I started doing In Person Sales and I was able to shoot 1/2 as many weddings but double my income... yes you heard that right... I was able to make an additional $40k profit a year doing album sales. I want to help photographers not only design beautiful storytelling albums for their clients but also help them up-sell and earn more money. I do all the work for you from initial contact to design to getting the clients preferences for the order.

From Design to Ordering
Design Only Clients
For my design only clients I have several options from full culling of the curated photos and design to having just a set amount of photos to start with. Initially we will hop on a call and I will take note of all your weddings for the current year and put you on the calendar. From there I will get clients emails and any specific information needed regarding their design. Once you have edited the wedding a complete gallery or just the favorites can be sent and a design will be made. I will email both you and the client every step of the way to help keep you in the loop. The client will receive a link to proof the album (3 revisions included), I will help them get to the approval phase and then once approved I will email you the full resolution files to send off to your lab! It is that easy!
Design and Sales Clients
The process for design is the same as for my design clients but I will also help you up-sell to a larger album, i.e. more spreads, custom debossing, upgrade size, additional parent albums etc. The process starts with me culling the photos from the day then designing a custom slideshow for you to send to your clients to help them fall in love with the idea of this album. From there I will follow up with pricing (I will help you create the perfect pricing guide to make the best of the upgrades) and get working on any revisions needed for the design. Once they approve the design I will send them a brochure that helps them pick the cover type, additional albums, any upgrades based on your album company and preferences. Once complete you will receive the high res files and ordering preferences with client address to get it ordered and sent off!

Where to begin on what to charge, here are some helpful ideas!
You want to make this process as easy as possible for the client, meaning the less options the better, cut out any unnecessary choices ie that red snake skin leather cover, and using a client crm brochure to help them pick instead of emailing back and forth.
Here is some sample pricing I have found works best! This is based off of Millers Album pricing, we will create something custom with the lab you use!
10x10 album 10 spreads
(roughly 50 photos)

We pre design the album with more than 10 spreads. This way you make more profit and the design looks much cleaner. I also recommend a 15% discount if they put deposit down within 2 weeks, which we can work into the pricing.

What kind of profit do I expect to make if you help with up-selling?
Every client will be different but on average, couples tend to spend an additional $1500-$3000 on upgrades for their album, minus a minimal amount for the hard costs. This includes mainly adding additional photos and this is largely in part to my process which I will help and share with you!
Can you order the album for me?
Currently I will only be placing order for clients who use Miller's and sign up for more than 10 album designs per year.
Who handles payment?
I do all the up-selling for you and as a full design/sales client of mine I send you an email that lays out the upgrades and total pricing so that you can invoice your client from your CRM directly. Once your clients pay I will invoice you for my portion of the commission.
